ok2a_logo_highRes1.jpgTulsa, OK - Last week the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association announced their endorsement of Randy Brogdon for State Chairman stating, “We believe there are three critical things that the next chairman of the Oklahoma GOP must do: engage and educate the grassroots on the GOP platform, inform the party activists as to the legislators' performance relative to the platform, and get the state GOP's message of liberty, self-reliance, and personal responsibility in the media.  It was the consensus of our Board that Brogdon is the best candidate to get the job done.”

This week, four more leaders of local grassroots organizations join OK2A in support for Brogdon. Carma Neta Morris, Co-Coordinator of Oklahoma City 9.12 Project; Ronda Vuillemont-Smith, President of Tulsa 9.12 Project; Jenni White, President of Restore Oklahoma Public Education, and Matthew Vermillion, Founder and Editor of TheOKieBlaze have all declared their support for Randy Brogdon for Oklahoma Republican State Chairman.

His commitment to the principles of liberty, and his ability to stand firm in their defense, is a trait that will inspire confidence and bring new life and vigor into our party.  I look forward to having a chairman that truly represents the voice of the people and hope you’ll join me in supporting Randy Brogdon for State Party Chairman.”

Ronda Vuillemont-Smith - President, Tulsa 9.12 Project, 2012 RNC Delegate

Ronda_Vuillemont-Smith.png“As a grassroots leader and citizen activist, I am committed to Randy Brogdon because I trust Randy Brogdon.  That is a high compliment indeed and one I do not give lightly. He is a man of his word, he stands for what he believes in.  He has backbone, (not to be confused with bullying) – he is principled.

This is a pivotal moment in Oklahoma GOP history – 2016 is THE most important election year of our lives, there is much at stake, and the leadership Oklahoma Republicans have moving forward must be a person of character and integrity; a person respected by all, a person that will provide a level playing field for ALL desiring to be involved and rules that apply equally.  Randy Brogdon is that person.  Opportunity for all, favoritism for none.

If you believe in proven leadership, our party principles and have a desire to see unity within the Republican Party, I hope you join me at the state convention April 11, in voting for Randy Brogdon as OK GOP State Chairman.”

Jenni White - President, Restore Oklahoma Public Education

“I've known Randy Brogdon since 2009. Though known for fighting Common Core, the first piece of legislation on which I worked was designed to strengthen US History standards in Oklahoma. Then-Senator Brogdon was co-author of that bill. From that time forward I've been impressed with Randy's understanding of limited government. I believe his use of the term "Conservative" represents an ideal, not simply a word drug out at election time to describe a lifestyle not lived during the interim years, and that has always appealed to me.

Jenni_White.pngI've taken part in the Republican Party process since 2009 - even running for state Vice-Chair in 2011, and each year I have continued to be involved at the Precinct level (Chair/Vice-Chair) and on County or State Platform Committees. Sadly, over the years (and particularly 2014) I have witnessed attempts by grassroots individuals to join the Party rebuffed and marginalized by longtime Party members. In fact, I've seen divisiveness fostered among the ranks simultaneous with calls for 'inclusiveness'. This must stop if the Party is to be relevant in this state, and certainly before the all-important 2016 elections.

Not only has Randy been active in the Republican Party over the years, he has been a State Senator - a position that includes the necessity of uniting people of diverse positions to be successful. I believe wholeheartedly that once elected as our State Republican Party Chairman, Randy Brogdon will not fail to unify our party around the cornerstone of our Republican ideal - limited government. I look so forward to this prospect that I fully endorse him and commit my vote to Randy Brogdon as Oklahoma State Republican Party Chairman. I ask you to do the same.”

Matthew Vermillion - Citizen Activist, Founder and Editor of TheOKieBlaze

Matthew_Vermillion.png“There are many words that describe Randy Brogdon and who he is. I know that Brogdon is someone who leads by example. He does not just talk the talk but he walks the walk. He has spent many hours driving many miles on his own across the state to teach about restoring liberty to Oklahomans. We need a proven leader who can not only lead the older generation of our party, but also someone who knows how to reach out to the younger generation that is waiting to take our place in the years to come. That person is none other than Randy Brogdon. And I fully endorse Randy Brogdon for the next Chairman of the Oklahoma Republican party.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsements of these grassroots leaders. These are the folks who put our Republican principles of limited government and individual liberty into practice. These are the folks who put in the work needed to advance the message of conservatism,” Brogdon continued, “I believe in order to be a strong state party, we must have the support of the activists at the grassroots level. One of the reasons I vocally opposed SB 233, the primary date change bill, was because I was receiving phone calls from across the state indicating that the bill was a bad idea, and believe me, after I did a little investigating, it was! A State OKGOP Chairman is only as strong as his party base. If we do not engage our base of Republican activists and leaders, our fundraising efforts will continue to decline. As your next State Party Chairman, my job will be to engage and activate that base of support. I look forward to that opportunity.”

The Oklahoma Republican Chairman’s race will be decided on April 11th in Oklahoma City. For more information, please visit www.RandyBrogdon.com.
